FAQs

DO I EVEN NEED LIVE MUSIC?

YES! For the ceremony, absolutely! I perform based on how many are in your bridal party, and the speed of everyone walking! If there is a cheeky flower girl who decides on the day she doesn't want to walk, this can add time, and if you're playing a song on Spotify it would finish before you even get to the top of the aisle.

Having a live musician allows for kinks in the procession, fast walkers, or anything else, ensuring you are walking at the moment in the song that you'd always hoped for. I'm able to repeat or skip sections, and fade out perfectly in time for the celebrant to begin speaking.

The rest of the day? It's a stunning addition and creates a beautiful atmosphere and entertainment for your guests, but to be honest, it's a luxury. If budget allows, it's a beautiful addition, but it's not an essential like the ceremony. I recommend hiring a live musician for the ceremony and canapes, and switching over to a DJ for dinner.

WHAT IF MY CEREMONY HAS NO POWER?

Not a problem! I have a battery powered speaker, so my guitar and mic can plug into that absolutely anywhere! I also have a battery powered keyboard, so you have the option of either instrument regardless of where you are having your ceremony.

DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT?

Yes absolutely. I am fully equipped and self sufficient!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I BOOK YOU?
My bookings are usually open from about 12 months out. I do also accept last minute bookings, but I can't guarantee availability particularly in peak seasons (spring + autumn)
WHAT IF IT'S RAINING?
Unfortunately I am unable to play in the rain, even if it's light. If it looks like it's going to rain on the day, I'll need to be situated under appropriate cover.
CAN I CHOOSE MY OWN SONGS?
Of course! This is your day, you absolutely get to have whatever songs you'd like for those moments during the ceremony. For the canapes etc., I play songs off of my repertoire list which you are welcome to have a look through as well.
